Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Digital Product Passports and EU compliance.
A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a structured dataset containing information about a product's origin, composition, repair and disassembly options, and end-of-life handling. Required by EU regulations including ESPR, DPPs enable sustainable consumption choices and support circular economy objectives.
The EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) was adopted in 2024, with DPP requirements expected to apply from 2027 onwards, starting with batteries and textiles. Early adoption gives you competitive advantage and avoids last-minute compliance scrambles.
DPPs will be required for batteries (from 2027), textiles, electronics, construction products, and eventually most products sold in the EU. Priority sectors include batteries, textiles, furniture, plastics, and ICT equipment.
We calculate carbon footprint across the full product lifecycle using the EN 15804 framework (A1-D modules). Data is sourced from EPDs, industry databases, and your supplier information. Results are automatically formatted for regulatory compliance.
